ADC is Headed to NYC!
On May 17, 2010 Artistic Dance Conservatory hits the Big Apple to perform in "Dancin' Downtown at the Joyce" at the Joyce Theater, a choreography and performance competition fundraiser run by Dancers Responding to AIDS. Choreographer and ADC Instructor Jennifer Gamache Dubilo entered the competition with her piece "Family", performed by ADC's Level V modern students. "I am so proud of them and excited to bring my work to this event" remarked Dubilo. Indeed, this competition is a thrilling expereince, as only 20 of the best works from across the country are chosen to participate and the judges panel and audience are a stunning "who's who" list of choreographers, dancers and dance educators from Broadway and beyond. The dancers, Yvonne Lacombe of Monson, Nicole Theroux of Agawam and Kayla Mayko and Jonathan Doherty, both from Holyoke, are in rehearsal refining their performance and perfecting every step. Anyone who is interested in attending this event or making a donation to Dancers Responding to AIDS is encouraged to contact the ADC Office Staff for more information.
