Artistic Dance Conservatory offers a broad curriculum based on skill level and the student's future plans in the arts and dance field. 

Dancers may choose a recreational to pre-professional course of study.  Enrollment is open year round for our recreational programs and auditions for our performance teams are posted annually. 

Dancers are encouraged to participate in our annual production to display their talents for family and friends.  Additional performance opportunities are available through the Kinetic State Youth Ensemble and ADC Performance Team programs.

 

BEGINNER

 
 
 
DANCEMIX (ages 3-4)
These 45 minute classes introduce young minds to the wonderful world of dance. Pre-schoolers learn the basic movements of Ballet, Jazz, Tap and/or Acrobatics while working on strength, coordination and artistry. The children learn through dance exercises, creative movement and athletic games designed for this age group. Your child will interact with other children and develop a sense of teamwork, self-esteem and confidence. The students gain an excellent start for further dance training or athletic growth while having fun.
  
Beginner ACRO, HIP HOP & TUMBLE, and BALLET/TAP/JAZZ (ages 5-6)
These 45 minute classes allow beginning students to build on their technique and training in a combination of disciplines. Classes work the skills and techniques in each type of dance by improving strength, flexibility, and artistry. Students learn through creative movement, center exercises, proper technique and choreography. Students expand their dance knowledge and abilities while enjoying the wonderful world of dance!

 Dancers ages 7 and up are placed in classes based on age and ability as determined by the instructors.  Our instructors evaluate each dancer annually and provide recommendations for class placement.  The ADC instructors work hard to find the perfect class fit for your dancer!
 
 


 
 
 
Level I, Level II (classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics and Hip Hop)
Our Level I and Level II classes are designed to introduce beginner dancers to dance in its individual disciplines.  These 45 minute classes reinforce the foundations of dance technique and explore dance styles in new and creatively challenging ways. Dancers learn through barre and center exercises, creative movement and fun choreography!

 INTERMEDIATE

 

 

 

Level II A/B, Level III A/B, Level IIIB, Level IIA (classes in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Adv. Beginner/Intermediate Acrobatics, Street Jazz, Musical Theater and Hip Hop)

These 45min to hour-long classes take dance to a new level. While reviewing beginning exercises, students also have the opportunity to learn new, more advanced dance techniques. Dancers are encouraged to increase their versatility by exploring new dance styles. Most recently, ADC has expanded its course offerings for our intermediate students to include Street Jazz and Contemporary Lyrical classes.  Street Jazz is a
fusion of classical jazz and hip hop styles which makes for a fun and funky new movement!  Contemporary Lyrical explores the grace and fluidity of ballet while also incorporating jazz technique. Our dancers have enjoyed taking part in these new classes, classes you won't find at every studio!

 
All classes review beginning dance skills and challenge students to increase their flexibility, strength, and artistry. Our Acrobatics students are encouraged to explore a variety of contortion, control and fundamental tumbling skills while also improving their dance technique and movement vocabulary. Students continue to learn with more intricate barre work, center floor exercises, and choreography. Our instructors develop well-rounded, proficient dancers while teaching teamwork, the rewards of hard work, and instilling confidence, poise, and dance knowledge!

 


 

 


 

 

Pre-Professional Study
 
Some students wish to enter the professional arena after high-school graduation or to seek an invitation to a professional dance company.  Our pre-professional course of study combines advanced level classes, a required curriculum, competition events and professional performance opportunities.  This level of study and performance activity prepares students for the demanding requirements of a professional dancer.

 ADVANCED

 

 

Level IIIA, Level IVB (classes in Ballet, Beginner/Intermediate Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Intermediate/Advanced Acrobatics, Modern, Hip Hop and Technique)

These 60 to 90 minute classes challenge dancers to refine their technique in a creative, positive atmosphere. Students continue to learn with more intricate barre work, center floor exercises, and choreography. Our Acrobatics students are introduced to a variety of tumbling exercises and work to develop strength and power while maintaining a dancer's grace and technique. Dancers are also introduced to the style of modern dance at this level. Dancers who wish
to study dance in a collegiate or conservatory setting benefit from our modern dance program immensely, as modern and ballet are commonly the fundamental styles studied in these settings.  ADC students receive a strong preparation for their future endeavors in dance.  Dancers train intensively in each style of dance and are challenged to expand their dance knowledge and ability. Our instructors develop well-rounded, proficient dancers while teaching teamwork, the rewards of hard work, and instilling confidence, poise, and dance knowledge!


Level IVA, Level V (classes in Ballet, Intermediate/Advanced Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Modern and Technique)

These 60 to 90 minute classes are offered in each discipline at an  advanced, and pre-professional level. Students are constantly challenged to reach new and more advanced technical skills.
Our Technique classes, offered for levels IIA-V help to reinforce the fundamentals of dance technique while also incorporating cardiovascular fitness and weight training to develop well balanced and healthy dancers. Students work diligently at the barre, in center floor, and to accomplish intricate choreography in every class. Our instructors will encourage students to meet their fullest potential in technique and dance artistry. Your child will learn the benefits of teamwork, the rewards of hard work, and develop into confident young adults as they enjoy the numerous benefits of dance!

 




 

College Preparatory
 
The college preparatory course of study is designed for students seeking to prepare for a dance related undergraduate degree.  These students will typically progress to Advanced level classes along with participating in performance teams and/or events including our Community Outreach Program.  Dancers have specific class requirements in order to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.  Participation on our Performance Teams is by audition only.  Please contact the studio to learn more about audition dates.
